Misty Meadows Mitey Riders, Inc. became a 5501(c)(3) orga­ni­za­tion in 1998 and has grown leaps and bounds each year. The annual oper­at­ing bud­get is funded solely by the gen­eros­ity of our donors, vol­un­teers, fam­i­lies and rid­ers, and is the only rea­son we are able to offer classes at no charge. Additionally, Mitey Riders has set up an Endowment Fund to assure the per­pet­u­a­tion of the pro­gram for years to come. Look below for the TOP 10 WAYS TO HELP Mitey Riders.

1. Make a Gift Donation
   For the peo­ple on your gift list that have everything…consider mak­ing a dona­tion in their honor. For hol­i­days and birth­days, sug­gest to grand­par­ents, aunts and uncles to make a dona­tion in honor of your rider! Remember – dona­tions are tax-deductible! Send your Gift Dona­tins to:

2. Make a Perpetual Donation
   If you wish to help keep the Mitey Riders pro­gram run­ning for years to come, con­sider mak­ing a Perpetual Donation. These dona­tions can be a one-time gift or set up as a reg­u­lar pledge, with all monies going towards to the Mitey Rider Endowment Fund. Remember – dona­tions are tax-deductible! 3. Sponsor-A-Rider
   Misty Meadows Mitey Riders is able to offer ther­a­peu­tic rid­ing ser­vices at no cost to our fam­i­lies. However, we would not be able to do so with­out the gen­er­ous sup­port from our com­mu­nity. Sponsor one (or two!) of our rid­ers for the 2010–2011 rid­ing sea­son, and help us pro­vide a unique expe­ri­ence for our Mitey Riders. 4. Sponsor-A-Horse
   It costs the pro­gram approx­i­mately $300 per horse, per month for feed, vet, and care. Horses can be spon­sored yearly or monthly. You may select a par­tic­u­lar horse or sim­ply indi­cate that the dona­tion goes to the for more infor­ma­tion on spon­sor­ing a Mitey Mount!
5. Sponsor An Event
   If you wish for your busi­ness to gain max­i­mum expo­sure along­side the Mitey Rider pro­gram, con­sider becom­ing a spon­sor at one of our amaz­ing spe­cial events: Spring Festival, Mitey Golf Challenge or Farm Fancy! Each spon­sor­ship will receive a media pack­age that includes print and web expo­sure, as well as on-site expo­sure at the event itself. Contact for more infor­ma­tion on becom­ing an event sponsor!
6. Donate Money Through United Way
   You can select Misty Meadows Mitey Riders as an orga­ni­za­tion that you want your donated funds to go — sim­ply write in our pro­gram name and address!
7. Participate in Corporate Matching
   Many busi­nesses will match dona­tions made to 501(c)(3), non-profit orga­ni­za­tions. Check with your employer to see if they par­tic­i­pâté in the cor­po­rate match­ing program.
8. Link your Harris Teeter VIC card – Number 5317
   Buy Harris Teeter Brand items and the Mitey Riders will receive 2% back on those pur­chases. Your card will be con­nected for one year and must be re-activated each year in August. Ask a cashier to link your VIC card to the Misty Meadows Mitey Riders or visit www.harristeeter.com to do it your­self. Anyone can link their card to the Misty Meadows Mitey Riders so please share the num­ber with fam­ily, friends and neighbors.
9. Do your online search­ing through Goodsearch
   Goodsearch.com is a new and easy way to help Mitey Riders by just search­ing the inter­net. Go to Goodsearch.com and select Mitey Riders under the “I’m Supporting” box and start search­ing. Each search will add a penny to Mitey Riders.
10. Do your on-line shop­ping through iGive
    Sign in at www.igive.com and then shop on-line at the over 500 stores listed. A por­tion of the sale is cred­ited to the pro­gram and Mitey Riders will receive a check directly from iGive. Be sure to reg­is­ter your “cause” as Misty Meadow Mitey Riders.
