Snuggled in the middle of South Carolina, this century-old plantation is home to some of the world’s rarest horses — the Egyptian Arabian. Egyptian Arabians comprise less than 3% of all Arabian horses in the world, and are known for their beauty, intelligence and versatility. Whitehaven Plantation is home to 5 Arabian stallions, and is a premier training and breeding facility for Arabian purebreds and sporthorses excelling in Dressage, Endurance, English and Western disciplines and Combined Training!
Trisha Dingle — manager and trainer at Whitehaven — has loaned us “Daisy”, her Straight Egyptian mare, for use in the Mitey Rider program. In addition, Trisha currently is working with and showing Mitey Rider’s own “Dennis” in Dressage, and has become a trusted partner of our organization for training and horse care.

Brook Hill Farm, a 501c3 non-profit organization, exists to provide rescue, rehabilitation and retirement for abused, neglected and unwanted horses. Tucked away at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in rural Virginia, Brook Hill Farm has provided a safe haven for all horses in need since 2002. In addition, Brook Hill Farm maintains a unique opportunity for personal growth and equine education for area youth and adults. BHF’s United Neigh program is instrumental in assisting in the rehab of many of their horses. United Neigh is an innovative program created for youth, led by adults and college interns, to teach its members basic horse care, horse rehabilitation, riding skills and personal accountability. The target population is youth ages 12 and over, some of whom are disadvantaged or disabled. The goal of the United Neigh Program is to provide educational and work experience that instills young people with equine knowledge and skill, self confidence and a strong sense of personal responsibility. Most recently, Mitey Rider instructor Erica A de Flamand, was fortunate enough to be an ‘approved owner’ for one of BHF’s rescue horses, Lorelei, who can be found grazing in Pasture 3 with MR therapy horses Case and Jimmy!
