Mitey Riders is excited to announce the development of The Mitey Rider Alumni Association! Over the last 16 years, Mitey Riders has served hundreds of children with special needs – and now we are grateful to have many of these riders back at the program – as volunteers, guests and amazing, compassionate adults. Our 2010 Spring Festival had over a dozen Mitey Rider Alumni in attendance, and as current riders graduate and move on to other adventures, we are thrilled to offer them an exclusive opportunity to remain as a big part of our program.
The Mitey Rider Alumni Association will be led by Chairperson, Jon Massachi. Jon started as a Mitey Rider in sixth grade and stopped riding right before he went off to East Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Business. When he graduated and returned to the area to begin his career with BB&T, he contacted the program to offer his time as a volunteer. Since returning, Jon has served as a Volunteer Coordinator and Mitey Rider Council President.
