Alumni Association

Mitey Riders is excited to announce the devel­op­ment of The Mitey Rider Alumni Association! Over the last 16 years, Mitey Riders has served hun­dreds of chil­dren with spe­cial needs – and now we are grate­ful to have many of these rid­ers back at the pro­gram – as vol­un­teers, guests and amaz­ing, com­pas­sion­ate adults. Our 2010 Spring Festival had over a dozen Mitey Rider Alumni in atten­dance, and as cur­rent rid­ers grad­u­ate and move on to other adven­tures, we are thrilled to offer them an exclu­sive oppor­tu­nity to remain as a big part of our program.

The Mitey Rider Alumni Association will be led by Chairperson, Jon Massachi. Jon started as a Mitey Rider in sixth grade and stopped rid­ing right before he went off to East Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Business. When he grad­u­ated and returned to the area to begin his career with BB&T, he con­tacted the pro­gram to offer his time as a vol­un­teer. Since return­ing, Jon has served as a Volunteer Coordinator and Mitey Rider Council President.
